...I can't help it...

I really can't help myself. I think I might post too many pictures of my darling baby boy, but I just L-O-V-E him and I want to share! I spend my whole day with him and it's so fun to watch him grow and learn! His smiles are my favorite, and he's definitely not camera shy. He already loves to smile for the camera and I must've taken 20 shots with his smile all over them. I won't bore you with every single one, but here's a few for you to see...
Also, some other new developments with Wyatt include his newfound interest in colorful shapes/images. He has a colorful polkadot blanket that completely mesmerizes him, it's hilarious. Here he is staring at the pictures on my quilt:
(Another thing: he's learned to roll over from his tummy to his back!! It's not perfected, but pretty much!)

This is his classic smile, with his tongue sticking out!

I love this little dude so much!!
(oh, and a small update: Last doctor's appointment he weighed 12lbs, and was 24.5 inches long)

Basketball Boys

Today was full of sports fun. Both Jeff and my youngest brother had church basketball games and they both did well! Unfortunately they weren't able to win their games...but they still had fun!!
Jeff shoots...and scores!!

It's was so fun to watch the deacons play ball...they're so small!

Good job guys!

cutestbabybumever.

I've never let Wyatt lie around in his birthday suit because I'm always afraid he's going to pee everywhere. Today though, after his bath, he peed just as I was about to put his diaper on, so while I was upstairs getting him a new diaper, I figured he could be naked for a little bit...

I never knew he would enjoy it so much!Oh, darling boy...
...you are so silly.

He's 2 months old, by the way...I can't believe it.

Viewer Discretion IS Advised...

...seriously...

...this post is about to get nasty...

...LITERALLY.

But I have to write about it because it was a hilarious, yet disturbing, moment in our lives...it was bound to happen at some point though, we just weren't prepared...

To give you some time though, if you're still deciding whether or not you want to proceed, I'll start off with some cute pictures first...

Wyatt has learned how to blow bubbles! I haven't decided if it's on purpose, or if he just likes to drool...(I'm betting he just likes to drool to drive me crazy)
This is Wyatt's favorite and most comfortable position:
So sweet...

Okay, now that I've given you some time, I'm going to start my story...

...some more forewarning: it's about poop.

Usually Wyatt has one or two poopy diapers a day, but on Thursday and Friday last week they were only wet. I wasn't worried, but when I told my mom this she laughed and told me to expect a blowout soon...thankfully for me (unluckily for my mother-in-law...sorry Mom....) Jeff and I went on a date for my birthday Saturday afternoon and his mom babysat for us. Sadly, she was the unfortunate recipient of a very full poopy diaper. But to my surprise, it wasn't what I had expected--there wasn't any soiled clothing, no poop was running down his legs and up his back...it was all contained in his diaper. Whew! I have an AWESOME kid! Even his blowouts are REASONABLE!! Sweet.

I.Spoke.Too.Soon.

It's the same story, only the ending wasn't so nice.

After I had fed him, he started farting...
They seemed innocent enough, honest. They weren't wet sounding or long and forceful...
After 15 minutes I handed Wyatt off to Jeff, so he could change his diaper...that's when I noticed the seepage...at first I thought, 'Yay! He pooped!!' because it didn't look so bad...little did I know it was only the tip of the iceberg.

Wyatt had the most innocent face like he didn't know what was going on.
'What...? Who, me??!'
(...notice Jeff's finger...?)

This is with his diaper ON...
Wyatt had already had his bath today, but this caused for another one...

ALLLLLL clean!!!

Utah Trip 2009-2010

Jeff and I and Wyatt were able to take a trip up to Smithfield, Utah to visit my family for Christmas/New Years. The next 8 posts are all from the trip, so take a look at all our adventures!

Jeff was a little worried about what the travel conditions would be like, since my grandparents live in northern Utah in the snowy mountains. Thankfully, on the way up, all the roads we traveled on were clear and dry. On the way back home to Arizona, however, the roads were a little less pleasant due to the recently fallen snow, but we survived! At least Jeff can now say he's driven in snow!

Here's a picture from on the way up...typical Utah, with a chuch house right off the freeway!

We were also a little worried about how Wyatt would react to being in a carseat for 13+ hours. He did fantastic!! He slept almost the whole ride up! The only downside was that it messed up his sleep schedule...oh well! We were so relieved!!
The day after we arrived, all the family got together for the delayed Christmas party/birthday party for Emma and uncle Bill. We had tons of great food and had fun playing games with each other. It was especially fun to play the left/right game where everyone sits in a circle and passes a gift left or right depending on which word is said during a story. The funniest part though was when everyone opened their gifts, we all traded with one another until we all got what we wanted...

We also played Rockband on the Wii...here are some shots of us rocking out...

Here's crazy Ben with cousin Meg

And the 'grown-ups' catching up

Emma, me, and Grace

So much attention

There was no lack of love and attention for the little baby Wyatt...he was constantly being held or cradled or rocked...It was a huge blessing to have babysitters in the form of grandparents and great grandparents to relieve me so I could go out and enjoy the fun with my family...

Wyatt: One of Santa's reindeer??

My grandma got Wyatt the cutest reindeer outfit for Christmas...it's actually a full body suit to wear over his clothes to keep him warm when he goes out. It's a little big on him, haha, but so very funny!
His feet aren't even touching my legs--I'm holding him up :)

Now if that's not the cutest reindeer you've ever seen...

Here he is putting his reindeer suit to good use! We're about to go out to Pepperidge Farm to buy lots of yummy cookies!

Snow Days

It must have snowed half the time we were there, and because we're all so snow-deprived, we LOVED it!! Even the freezing cold didn't bother us so much...we were playing in the snow night and day!
Here are the beanie boys all bundled up and getting ready to go out...

And here are the girls:

Here's our poor Arizona car covered in a few inches of snow...

This is a picture of the street in front of my grandparent's house...oh wait, you can't even see it!

This is Jeff...VOLUNTARILY shoveling snow from the sidewalk and carport (he actually asked my grandpa if he could, haha)

It's snowing on us!

We wanted to go sledding the first day it snowed, so we drove around for a while and couldn't find any good hills...as we drove back though, we saw some kids sledding down a slope on the edge of the cemetary (which is right across the way from my grandparent's house) We were so excited! So we bought some plastic...sled...things...(the first of which we broke after the second try) and had a blast! Because it was so close we went sledding a couple of days...
Here's my mom and dad:

I'm about to go down on my belly...

Emma going down on a tobaugan? Toe-bog-in? I don't know what it's called, but it's a plastic disc you sit in...

This is where we would end up after going down the slope

Apparently Jeff is really good friends with the snow...

...he likes the snow so much, he'll dress in barely anything...

This is our snow-family! On one of the other days it was snowing we decided to build some snowmen, since the fallen snow was perfect 'packing' snow, or so my cousins said. As you can see, they're HUGE (almost as tall as Jeff)! It took a lot of work to build them...there were 6 of us that spent almost 2 hours getting them perfected...
Unfortunately they didn't last very long...when we went the next day to show them off, somone had demolished them completely :(
