I suppose this is a monthly thing now...

I will confess to being addicted to Instagram.
...although, I'm not sure it's really so bad...
...maybe it's not an addiction, just a really large interest of mine.

I haven't decided if it's weird or encouraging, but Jeff loves when I paint my nails and toenails. And because of that, I've been experimenting more and have painted my nails more in the last 2 weeks than I have the entire year...

I often find the boys content while they read books together...'s pretty much the most adorable thing ever.

While hand-washing some of my clothes, I realized I really like lace and the color coral..., a lot.

Tangled is a new favorite around here.

I made blueberry muffins one morning and their faces were covered in purple.

I hate folding laundry.

Jeff and I picked out treats for an at-home date night...can you guess who's whose?

...seriously. I am in love with baking lately.

I'm definitely obsessed with this though...

Remembering old times...

Logan is the messiest eater.
And he likes to share.

Jeff is extremely excited that football has started again.

The sickness has been going around again over here...fevers, coughs, and stuffy noses galore.

Not going to lie. We were cute babies.

See??? BAKING!!

Rascal Flatts

Somehow I got lucky and was invited by Noelle to go to the Rascal Flatts concert with her.
And not only did we get to see RF, but The Band Perry AND Cassadee Pope opened for them!
(side note: Jeff was more than a little jealous)
It was pretty much the perfect experience (except for the excess of drunk, smoking crazy people)...
Rascal Flatts were SO good! They even had a few non-scripted moments which showed a bit of their funny personalities. It was awesome.

just another reason to see them.

Just when I think I'm done seeing these girls, someone has a birthday...

...can you guess who??

We kept it simple this time, opting for dinner and TARGET.

Good times, good times.
Oh yeah, and happy birthday Malu.

the monsoon season

We woke up this morning to a glorious downpour of Arizona monsoon rain!! And seeing how the boys haven't been able to enjoy it yet this year (since it's always been at night, or on Sunday during church, or only lasted for a few minutes) I got the boys dressed as quickly as I could and sent them outside! And thankfully this storm was a good one, and it rained for a few hours, so they were able to enjoy it fully (until they were tuckered out).

They were both a little tentative at first...
...that, or they were just amazed at this exotic weather!

Wyatt went out almost right away...
...and as I was taking a picture. (see ya!)

...he was thrilled.

Logan was more...suspicious.
He ventured out a few steps...

...and turned right around and came back.

It took a little smooching and reassuring to get him comfortable...
(after all, this was his first time EVER playing in the rain...)

And he eventually realized it was lots of fun.

Testing the waters...

There was a lot of observation of the phenomenon.
(That is, standing and staring in amazement.)

There was also a lot of jumping and splashing in the all-too-tempting, quickly-overflowing puddles...

They were running back and forth...

...playing follow-the-leader...

...and just sitting around, playing with rocks.
(They are boys after all...)

They came back in after 30 minutes, very satisfied...

...and very drenched.

"Mom, look!! A button!!! Let's push it..."

The end!!
