Sedona, part 4

This is going to be an *overload * of pictures, so prepare yourself.
Sedona was literally picture-perfect.

Our house was on top of a hill and the creek was just a nature-walk away.
So to get there we walked down the hill, crossed a canal on a wooden board, trampled through the briery berry bushes, meandered over the meadow, navigated a near-empty, rocky riverbed, and finally came across the actual river, skimming over the smooth red rock.

~Sigh~
It really was picture-perfect...

The first few days it was overly crowded, but still nice...
...and no one really jumped into the deep end like we did...

This was funny because the boys pulled a huge log from the shore and dragged it into the water, to the deep end, and then tried to all stand on it for as long as they could...
...seems like a lot of work for such simple entertainment, but they had fun.

The morning before we left for home we went one last time, and almost no one was there...
...but it was FREEZING.

But despite the cold water, we got in anyway :)

And we were so sad to go home...

Maybe next year??

Your description of the walk to the creek reminds me of The Elf movie when he talks about his journey from the north pole to New York.

Basically I just love you and your cute family.
