9 months!

A little update on Wyatt:

We went to the doctor yesterday for his 9 month check-up...9 MONTHS?!? Yes. Crazy, I know. Anyway, he's doing well, still 'underweight' according the the percentiles, but I don't like to pay attention to the percentiles anymore. He's healthy and strong and eats like a monster. We're going to start giving him more lean proteins to see if that doens't help him out in the calorie department.

Weight: 17.1 lbs (7th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (12th percentile)
Head circumference: 18 inches (70th percentile) sooo...he has a big head?? Haha!

Wyatt also got one shot to end the Hep B rounds, and also had a TB test performed on his arm, which was no fun for him, but thankfully this time he didn't get sick like he normally does after his shots.

Here's just a few updates on his current favorites:

He loves to climb on anything and everything that is taller than he is...

He also loves to stick anything and everything in his mouth, which can be disasterous sometimes...

(oh yeah, and he learned to put his binky in his mouth a few months ago...)

He still loves his Opa, and loves it when he sneaks him sweets (behind Mom's back, of course...)

Around 6 months when we started feeding Wyatt solid foods, if we took too long before giving him another bite, he would get frustrated and then grunt and tense up like he was pooping. ANYWAY, my dad started asking him, "Are you strong?" or, in dutch, "Ben je sterk?" when he would do that, and now if you ask him, he'll ball up his fists and grunt on cue (it's so much cuter in real life, and this picture doesn't do him justice...)
Great Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit!

Wyatt also now understands the meaning of 'no.' He can detect the different voice changes I have and knows when he's in trouble. He's a very obedient little boy and I love watching him learn...it's amazing how much babies really understand. He talks and babbles constantly, with one of his favorite words being 'dada.' Jeff thinks it's specifically because he loves Daddy more, haha! I don't think so! Just kidding...!
We love Wyatt and can't believe he's going to be 1 so soon!!

The balling up his fists thing is really cute.

It made me laugh so hard that you said, "It's kind of strange to see one so small actually walking." The "one" part is what got me. I know you were talking about babies but I first read it like you were talking about aliens or something. Awesome.

You contributing to Alex's college fund if I contribute to Wyatt's was very funny. It reminded me of a Christmas when my sister's were both broke so they gave each other $20.
